About our BOT

  • The Board is given the power under the Education Act 1989 and Regulations of Parliament as the legal body to govern the school and in accordance with its own Charter.
  • The essence of trusteeship is that all Trustees on the Board hold in trust for the community the successful education of all children enrolled at the school.
  • The Board is responsible for setting strategic goals through its Strategic Plan; determining board policy; delegating powers including school management; review; employment of staff; the school’s financial affairs; and property management. (Ref: Trustee Handbook, NZSTA)
  • The Strategic Plan 2006-9 focuses the school on its future direction.
  • Board Meetings are held monthly. All members of the school community are warmly invited:

    Where:
    Boardroom, Administration Block
    When:
    7:30pm
    Dates for 2010:
    Feb 25, Mar 25, May 27, Jun 24, Jul 29, Aug 26,
    Sep 23, Oct 28, Nov 25
  • Members of the school community who wish to speak at a Board meeting on a particular issue, should contact the Board Chair (see above) by the Wednesday prior to a Board meeting so that provision can be made on the next agenda during Public Forum and any relevant papers may be pre-circulated to the Trustees.
