About our Board of Trustees

Board members are elected parents whose role is to govern the school. They are a legal body and represent the parent community. Elections are held every three years. Board meetings are held on the last Thursday of every month. Meetings are open to the public and parents are welcome to attend but may not contribute to the meeting unless invited. Any recommendations or questions from parents need to be put in writing and sent to the secretary of the board at least five days before a meeting.

BOARD OF TRUSTEES ELECTION 2013

2013 will see a new Board of Trustees appointed to govern Remuera Primary School, and I encourage those that are interested in joining the Board of Trustees to consider standing at the 2013 Elections.

An Election timeline has been agreed which we are working towards, with nominations forms going out to the school community on Monday 15^th April (before the school holidays), and advertising running in the local paper thereafter.

If you would like more information about the Board of Trustees, or the 2013 Elections, please either ask at the school office for an election brochure, or ask any of the current Board of Trustees.

Advertising:	Local paper advert calling for nominations
Nominations close:	Thursday 16th, May, 2013 at Noon.
Voting Papers Issued:	By May 21, 2013
Meet the Candidates:	Tuesday 21st, May, 2013 at 7.00pm (TBC)
Election Day:	Thursday 30th, May, 2013 (closes @ noon)
Results declared:	Wednesday 5th, June, 2013
Board takes Office:	Thursday 6th, June, 2013
